Vitamin C for healthy hair

Vitamin C is great for producing collagen which helps strengthen the capillaries that supply  collagen to the hair shafts.

Vitamin C also helps with the absorption of iron so foods high in vitamin C are great with foods high in iron.

Some awesome foods high in vitamin C are blackcurrants, blueberries, broccoli, guava, kiwi fruits, oranges, papaya, strawberries and sweet potatoes.

Iron is an incredibly important mineral for healthy hair growth and too little iron can lead to major hair loss.

When your body experiences deficiency and your iron levels drop below a certain point, you can experience anaemia. This disrupts your nutrient supply to hair follicles which will in turn affect your hair growth cycle and may even result in shedding.

Red meats, chicken and fish are great foods for the body where the iron is readily available to the body. Good iron vegetarian options include lentils, spinach, broccoli, kale and other salad greens.

Water for all round healthMermaid

Water is a great way to quickly flush out toxins fast from your body, which makes it a great quick natural method to make your hair grow faster.

By drinking 8 glasses of water a day, not only will your body feel better, but your hair will become naturally stronger.

The stronger your hair is the faster and thicker it will grow. When your hair is dehydrated it is more likely to break, therefore strong hydrated hair is happy hair.

Long Summer HairVitamin A for hair growth

Vitamin A is needed for the body in order to create sebum. Sebum is an oily substance made by our hairs sebaceous glands and provides a natural conditioner for our scalps.

Without sebum our hair can become dry and may lead to itchy scalps and dandruff.

Orange and yellow coloured vegetables such as carrots, pumpkins and sweet potatoes are a great source of Vitamin A.

When you follow a healthy conscious diet including vegetables and/or meats and copious amounts of water you will have strong, thicker, healthier hair in no time.
